EMI Classics
Profile
EMI Classics was a classical music label, introduced in April 1991 as EMI's new worldwide classical music brand. It replaced the Angel and His Master's Voice (Dog & Trumpet) trademarks, which however kept being used in some territories. In 2007, the [l=EMI Group Plc] restructured its labels, with EMI Classics becoming part of the UK [l=Angel Music Group] operation. In 2013, following [l2345]'s acquisition of [l806790] (formed for the divestment of former ultimate owner [l1330982]), EMI Classics became part of [l90091]. After the acquisition, a lot of the former EMI Classics releases were reissued on [l=Warner Classics] / [l=Erato]. Releases may mention the following label codes: LC 6646 / LC 0542
