'Composers in Person' is a series of CD reissues, devised by [a=Ken Jagger] and compiled exclusively from [l=EMI] recordings made between 1904 and 1958 by composers, as instrumentalists or conductors, in performances of their own music. In all cases, [l=EMI Classics] has sought out the finest originals (metals, 78s or master tapes) for use in the transfers to CD. The discs were first issued as individual full price CDs during 1993-1997 and in 2008 were released together in a 22-CD box with the series title ([r9947890]).
