Thalia / Oizzo No --- 2002

"re-mastered early works" "Thalia", "Solar Eyes", "Extra Bit" and the second half of "Oizzo No" were produced at the Institute of Sonology, Utrecht, The Netherlands. Raw material for "Thalia" recorded at the 1976 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, and in the studio in the Garden Room of the composer's parents' house. "Bitter-Sweet Suite", "Theme from Emtigon" and "Obstinato" recorded in the parents' house. "Ceol Sidhe" recorded in St. Catherine's Church, Thomas Street, Dublin. "Oizzo No" recorded in Betty Barrett's living room in County Dublin, the Electronic Music Studio in Stockholm, the composer's flat in Dublin (with the voice of Johnny Robinson) and as above. "Two Movements for Flute and Strings" recorded in St. Patricks Cathedral in Dublin. "Baby Grand" recorded in Windmill Lane Studios, Dublin. Tracks 1 - 7 were originally released on the LP [r=1301616] (1975). Tracks 8 - 11 were originally released on the LP [r=2173320] (1978). Re-mastered at Rabbit and Costelloe's - 2002. "Bitter-Sweet Suite" for out-of-tune piano composed when Roger Doyle was 18 between 1968-73. ℗ and © PRS 1968 and 1971-76. Manufactured by Trend Studios, Dublin. Made in Ireland.
