Included with the digital versions of Songs About Girls is "You Wrecked the Party" which was part of the "Fresh Sounds from Middle America Volume 5" compilation and previously unreleased tracks recorded "live to DAT" at Big Bang from summer 1990 and summer 1991. All tracks were recorded at Big Bang Recording Studio in Lawrence, Kansas, and engineered by John E. Mello. All tracks were produced by Scott Gribble, except "Where I work" (which was not produced) and Soundcheck (which really is a soundcheck, not a song called "Soundcheck") Tracks 1-5 were recorded in summer 1989 via multitrack, and mixed by Brad Murphy at Red House Audio in Lawrence, KS. Tracks 6-14 were recorded in summer 1990 live to DAT. Tracks 15-22 were recorded in summer 1991 live to DAT.
