Hip Hop Nation was the first magazine in Spanish on hip hop culture. Founded by Miguel Pedregal in 1997 with the collaboration of the journalist Curro Herrera, through an alliance with another magazine in the sector, Stress Magazine, from New York; thanks to which in Hip Hop Nation magazine you could have the best exclusive content of the mecca of this movement and timely national information through a network of collaborators with journalist Marcos Jiménez (Selector Marx) as chief editor. The magazine had a myriad of contributors that used to include many of hip hop's most respected artists. Part of the HHNation team also works on a second biannual publication dedicated to black music (jazz, blues, R&B, soul, funk) called Soul Nation. Hip Hop Nation includes a CD with the best themes of national hip hop merced acuerdos con la casi totalidad de las spanish discográficas y de las internacionales con distribución en España por lo que no tardó en ser de las revista de las música sectorial más vendidas en España y en buena parte de Latinoamérica, it is also distributed in Portugal, Brasil, Argentina, México, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Perú, Ecuador, Paraguay, Chile y algunas ciudades como New York y Los Ángeles. Special mention to the curious distribution that logró the revista in Cuba por medio del también periodista Ariel Fernández.
