Canadian record company and label founded by [a=Jeff Smith (32)] in 1977 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of [l=Sounds Interchange] Ltd. See also [l=Change Records]. Bob Johnston was national promo director. Most early material was produced by [a=John James Stewart] who headed Sound Interchange's production company [l=Inter-Productions]. Initial distribution was handled by [l=Polydor Ltd. (2)] but in early 1980 switched to [l=MCA Records (Canada)]. Sold to [a=Syd Kessler]'s Kessler Music Corp. in 1980 along with Sounds Interchange.
