[b]Série [i]imeb[/i] / UNESCO / CIME[/b] was a sub-label, appearing on the front cover of [l=Cultures Électroniques] compilations. The 20-vol series, released between 1986 and 2007, and produced by [l=IMEB] (Institut international de musique électroacoustique de Bourges), documented all 189 prize-winning compositions from [i]Concours International de Musique Electroacoustique[/i] – a prestigious electroacoustic competition, which had been organized at Bourges since 1973, curated and hosted by GMEB/IMEB, and supported by [l=UNESCO] and [l=C.I.M.E.] The competition soon became one of the most prestigious European contests for electronic/electroacoustic arts, with 500-600 composers from around the world submitting their works each year.
