Australian Melbourne based label created and owned by [a=Bill Hawtin] circa 1960's. Acronym for "Elwood Audio Services Transcriptions". It was also an independent studio, with part of East's business being to record and press 'demo' and custom recordings for bands and singers. This is the label name only. The record company is [l533459] - use this for Copyright credits, Recorded By, etc. Some earlier releases give the copyright credit as [l=Elwood Audio Services]. Later releases mention a "Technical Direction" credit to "East Recording Co." which can be entered in the credit section here [a=East Recording Company]
