The Pied Pipers

The Pied Pipers were a popular singing group in the late 1930s and 1940s. In 1938 two vocal groups ([a=The Three Rhythm Kings] & [a=The 4 Esquires]) and [a=Jo Stafford] (from [a=The Stafford Sisters]) merged into one supergroup, vocal octet The Pied Pipers. By late 1939 they were down to a quartet and had several personnel changes through the years. The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001.
