Louise, Ferera And Greenus

Popular Hawaiian music trio, recording between 1917 and 1919. The trio consisted of [a=Helen Louise] (Greenus, née Ferera) on guitar, her husband, Hawaiian steel guitarist [a=Frank Ferera], and Helen's sister [a=Irene Greenus] on guitar and ukulele. Louise sometimes played banjo as well. The trio recorded mostly with [a=Columbia], but also with other labels. It was so popular and prolific that titles recorded by it were still being issued for the first time after Helen Louise's early death in December 1919.
