Ira Stein & Russel Walder

In 1981 pianist [a=Ira Stein] and oboist [a=Russel Walder] met when they both traveled to Boulder, Colorado to take a class from [a=Ralph Towner] and the members of [a=Oregon]. They were promptly signed by [l=Windham Hill Records] who released their first two albums. A third album for Narada followed in 1990, after which the two pursued solo careers.
