Russel Walder

American Jazz oboist, born on February 9, 1959 in Deerfield, Illinois, United States. Walder met pianist [a=Ira Stein] at Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado while studying with the jazz fusion group [a=Oregon]. He signed with [l=Windham Hill Records] at the age of 19 and together with Stein he recorded three albums. Walder went on to launch a solo career and an acting career after moving to New Zealand in 2006.
