Tel Aviv based DJ and producer Shai T aka Shai Tibi debuts on Igual Recordings with The Chase which features a superb remix from Pastrana. Shai got into music from a young age experimenting with different instruments and playing in a band. He moved into club life and became a DJ and producer securing many gigs in and around Tel Aviv. He remains diverse in his style performing with house music and many of its derivatives. An enthusiastic and energetic artist he tends to use live drums during his DJ sets to increase the energy. With a wealth of tracks under his belt across various labels we're delighted to have this talented artist on board. The Original Mix of The Chase intros with a real smooth kick and hat combi that beefs up as each note passes into a chunky kick and crispy hat that drives a solid rhythmic groove alongside a deep probing bassline. The bassline captivates as it delivers its powerful groove upon our senses. Cool synths create a complex mosaic of sound that blends beautifully and effortlessly. A top notch groove that will keep you locked on for the duration. Igual head honcho Leandro Silva steps up to the remix desk and offers up a solid slice of hypnotic deep house grooves for our listening pleaseure. The intro revolves around a deep mesmerizing pad that lurks in the background. Chunky kick drums and smooth shuffling hats deliver a steady flowing rhythm while the bassline grabs a hold of you with its warm probing low end goodness. Various synths litter the sound adding colourful textures, but it's the hypnotic traits that do the business here. Definitely a late night track to keep the hot and sweaty floors pumping. Already making his third appearance on Igual, Pastrana is up on remix duties and once more he shows us his top notch studio skills. The remix gets right into a cool tech house vibe right from the get go as a pounding punchy kick drum thumps along. Distant voices fade in an and out as a hypnotic arp ebbs and flows with the groove. A deep throbbing bassline creates a solid platform for the track to build on and keeps the groove flowing. Cool synths come through providing the icing on the cake in this superb slice.
