Solo piano compositions. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/melaniemonsour3 "I created this work as an auditory environment which the listener can enter. To enable one to experience a stillness and security as as fluidity of movement, I use a specific set of tonal ideas over changing rhythmic structures. These pieces have been influenced by the intricate, extended musical forms of India, the rich, meandering melodies of Asia and the Middle East, the evocative and purposeful chants of Native American ceremonies, and the ever present sounds which are perceived randomly in everyday life. My wish is for the music to evoke emotion and facilitate the flow of feelings through the body."
