Guitar Kolo
Overview
Guitar Kolo --- 2009
It seems that the guitar still remains one of the most popular instruments in the eyes of young people. Although you can, probably, hardly say that about Ukrainian jazz – here, guitarists far not that often undertake the role of protagonists. At that, we do have enough good masters – the other thing is that it is not that easy to hear them. At all events, the "reference book" represented does not really pretend to be all embracing – it is clear that not all those who could have appeared here. And you will see that the thing here is not only technical mastery – a good musician must also interest with stylistics, the composition, right? And, in the end, it is considerably more interesting to observe not that much masterly passages but styles, which our guitarists prefer. During the Guitar Kolo concert, the main tone was set by fusion – but on the studio collection it does not really strike the eye. And that is for good – because every retreat from a general direction looks even brighter then. And here you, in fact, have enough of such retreats. For this reason, this is far not a dry "reference book" – this is a collection that it is really interestingly to listen to. And useful. 1. Volodymyr Molotkov – Round Midnight (T.
