Gloves Are Off

Overview

Gloves Are Off --- 1990

200 copies made & released by the band. Copied double-sided foldout cover with lyrics on backside. Paper sticker with PONR logo as insert. The cassette has no labels but note on the pictures a handwritten H and E on the according side. PONR was a sarcastic hardcore band, making fun of the then upcoming Hard Edge movement in the USA, which was quite right wing and too many people took it serious. Hence us overdoing it, as a joke. Later some of the band also started Feeding The Fire, which for some time was overlapping with PONR. When FTF became the main focus PONR ended (also because too many people here in Europe started taking PONR serious with our sarcastic Hard Edge thing).
