Die Gärtnerin Aus Liebe = La Finta Giardiniera --- 1972

Text on box rear in English. A similar release exists with the same text in German: [r=16249272] Sung in German. Opera originally composed in Italian as "La Finta Giardiniera" with secco recitatives. The German translation was written into the autograph by Mozart's father. Act I of the Italian version has since been lost along with the secco recitatives, therefore the decision was made to record Mozart's German version using a shortened dialogue in the manner of Singspiel in place of secco recitative. Booklet contains notes, synopsis, biographies and libretto in German, English & French.
