Phillips' Musikkstipend Prisvinnere 2001

Overview

Phillips' Musikkstipend Prisvinnere 2001 --- 2001

In the spring of 2000, Phillips Petroleum entered into cooperation with the Norwegian Academy of Music about an annual music award. So far the company has had the pleasure of participating in two award ceremonies. In 2000 the soprano Kari Postma won the final contest, and in 2001 the main award went to Tri O'Trang. This trio consists of Helge Lien, Lars Andreas Haug and Torben Snekkestad, post-graduate students at the Academy of Music. They have already won international acclaim for their acoustic chamber jazz. The purpose of the cooperation agreement with the Academy is to inspire postgraduate students. Phillips thus wants to give talented musicians and singers an opportunity to developer their talent. On this CD you will hear excerpts from the performances of the four participants in the final contest in 2001. We hope that music will bring inspiration and pleasure to many!
