Songs are based on and inspired by, in order, the following works by David Adams Richards: For Those Who Hunt the Wounded Down, Friends of Meager Fortune, The Coming of Winter, Evening Snow Will Bring Such Peace, Dancers at Night, Blood Ties, Nights Below Station Street, Mercy Among the Children, Lives of Short Duration, and River of the Brokenhearted. The chorus of "Face Your Hunters" is a quote from 'For Those Who Hunt the Wounded Down' by David Adams Richards. The chorus of "Because I Love" is a quote from 'War and Peace' by Leo Tolstoy. Recorded and mixed at Village Sound. Packaged in a 4-panel cardboard wallet.
