Seventeen tracks that mix tradition and modernity, which perfectly express this label’s editorial line: support artists whilst favouring cultural identity and local creation. Indigo Africa is a great way to discover or to rediscover the best of African music. This compilation illustrates the diversity and the richness of the music from this continent, which is very present on our label. It was concocted by Christian Mousset who wishes to share some of his favourite tracks and his passion for African culture. From the shores of the Mediterranean to the Cape of Good Hope, from Bamako to Johannesburg, from the Gulf of Guinea to the islands of the Indian Ocean: an initiatory journey where traditions and modernity mingle.
