Merci Pierre." ["This album is dedicated to the memory of a great musician, an outstanding and endearing person with whom we had the privilege of sharing his music and a bit of life. Thank you Pierre."] This band was the latest incarnation of Pierre Moerlen's Gong with young French musicians, that began working together before [a244748]'s sudden death in 2005. As a tribute to him, they continued working on his new compositions (and others) for this album. At the beginning of track 14 is a short extract of a late 1990s concert of [a10346], where [a10354] is heard introducing Pierre Moerlen on drums. The presence and the origin of this recording is not mentioned anywhere on this album.
