Reh / Demo 91
Overview
Reh / Demo 91 --- 1991
Xeroxed cover (showing Crowley´s Astrum Argentum order sigil, corresponding to Grishnackh´s old interviews where he stated he "studies the Golden Dawn system of magick") with a black/clear maxell tape. A compilation of early rehearsal- and demo-tracks. Tracks 6-8 are from the first demo. With his old "Christian Vikernes, Lille Markevei 5, Bergen" address-stamp on the inlay. Some of the tracks were later renamed: "My Key to Purgatory" became "Key to the Gate", "Rite of Cleansure" became "Dominus Sathanas", and "Lord of the Depths" became "Ea, Lord of the Depths" (mistitled and sung on DSP's versions of "Burzum" as "Ea, Lord of the Deeps"). Also, the track "Channeling the Powers of Souls into a New God" changed into "Channelling the Power of Souls into a New God" (notice the plural "Powers" and american spelling "Channeling" of the original vs. the singular "Power" and british "Channelling" on the later version). According to Varg Vikernes in a now-deleted comment on YouTube, track A2 is not a Burzum song. The song is also omitted from the tracklist published to burzum.org. It was, however, included on the original tapes and appears on the remastered 2019 version of the demo included in the "In the Arms of Darkness" boxset.
