The EP's release history is complex: It was scheduled for a December 2007 release with Jenni Onishko as the vocalist, but the release was moved to early 2008, because the cover art wasn't finished in time, amongst other reasons. Then Jenni Onishko left the band and she was replaced with Leeni-Maria Hovila. All the tracks of the demo were re-recorded with her vocals, which postponed the release even further, to April. Jenni Onishko's versions of Blacksmith and Jäässä Varttunut were on the band's Myspace for some time. In the end, the Taottu EP was never officially sold, but only send out to record labels.
