Overview
Reel Big Fish --- 1992
"The end is Always Near The end is Always Near Like The Flower Bloom in Springtime Like the Dying of a Tear..." Interesting note this cassette only has one side (Side A) Side B is blank This cassette also know as"In the Good Old Days" is a cassette demo by Reel Big Fish, released in 1992. It is their earliest release, and all the members either were in or fresh out of high school. It was recorded with a boombox. In addition, the vocals are provided by Ben Guzman instead of Aaron Barrett. Guzman and other members, Lisa Smith and Zach Gilltrap, were featured only on this demo. The song "Spin The Globe" was later re-recorded on Everything Sucks. No other songs from this demo appear elsewhere. The band did not have a brass section at the time. A "second pressing" was made of this around 1995 with an alternate cover and A side label. The cover is light green and warns that this is not ska and not very good. It has a historical take on the tape in the liner notes versus the original notes. A-side label is similar to the Scholars release that was put out around the same time.
