A song-cycle inspired by various myths & folktales about female water spirits, featuring a different guest vocalist on each track, with vocal melodies & interpretations/translations by respective singers. Released in a gatefold digifile. Recorded alternately at Commonwealth Studios in Toronto & Broken Spine Studios in Berlin between 2009 & 2011. Lyrical conceits gleaned from various folktales & these specific texts: Angela Carter - The Bloody Chamber, A. S. Byatt - Possession, Anna Kavan - Ice, Philip K. Dick - The Dark Haired Girl, & Hubert Aquin - Hamlet's Twin.
