Organ Life (Extended) --- 2012-10-26

"The original pieces on the cassette release – Organ Life and Loop de Loop – were recorded in around 1986/87. I began reworking both of these in the early 2000s. Monique and I performed versions of Loop de Loop with multiple cds playing and it seemed logical to go and rework the original mix – or using the original mix plus a slightly slowed down second layer. I then added recordings of the other players into the new version (Tom Hamilton recorded his portion – the other parts were taken from other If, Bwana pieces and recycled into this). I also began playing around with Organ Life (and in fact I am working on a new wrinkle for that as I write this). The original recording, which was 30 minutes long, is here shortened by half, and a processed second layer is laid against the original. So something old something new(ish), and something borrowed…..
