All tracks on this record were previously unreleased. Includes a photocopied and folded Simple Machines catalog. This catalog states that 4,000 copies of this release were pressed. It is worth noting that some time later a compilation of all the records in this series was released. The booklet that came with that compilation stated that there were 4,500 copies pressed of this release. The booklet also stated that there were 5,500 copies pressed. Obviously the label printed some incorrect information in this booklet, but the actual number pressed remains a mystery because of this. Tsunami recorded at Catbox in Lancaster, PA in July 1992. Superchunk recorded at Drive In Studios in Winston Salem, NC in March 1992. Rodan recorded at The Hat Factory in Baltimore, MD in October 1992. Unrest recorded at Fun City in March 1992. 'Winona Ryder' is a minimally-altered cover of [r428018]. Engineered in Arlington, VA in November 1992. Covers were printed on recycled paper in Raleigh, NC.
