Tube Bar Red's Bootleg Tape [Remastered]

Overview

Tube Bar Red's Bootleg Tape [Remastered] --- 2007-09-01

Tube Bar Red's Bootleg Tape (REMASTERED) is a prank call comedy album by the Bum Bar Bastards. As the album title suggests, this was originally a bootleg tape that was passed around in the public. This 24 minute recording is solely responsible for making the Tube Bar recordings famous. In 1988 TeenBeat Records released an unauthorized commercial recording, and it was again later used in 1991 by Chris Gore in his short film based on the prank calls called "RED" starring Lawrence Tierney. Teenbeat Records posted on their website that T.A. Productions had used their Tube Bar photo with the band Unrest featured on the cover without their permission. In July 2012 T.A. Productions decided to change the artwork due to the copyright complaint posted, thus the album has 2 different covers. Artwork: Teenbeat (2007), Jim Sweet (2012). Voice: Jim Davidson, John Elmo. Edited by: Ted Heldman & Jim Davidson. Remastered by: Ted Heldman. Ode To Red by: Rikk Agnew's Yardsale. Red's Last Stand by: Greg Florko, courtesy GF Productions.
