From back cover: "This album was supposed to be about Joe Paterno and Penn State Football. One a man, the other an institution. Two separate entities, right? Well, not exactly. You see, there are many who believe that both are institutions, each responsive to the other's needs. And while one has enjoyed an occasional flirtation with some would-be homewrecker from time to time (the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots). Penn State and Paterno have been together now for more than 25 years. Maybe that's why they're so successful (94-18-1). They're a family, complete with "uncles" - five staff members have been around for a total of 121 years - and their young lions spring off a scrimmage line like no other team in college football.
