Electric Self finally releases the long awaited LP ‘Gastropodo’ After 2022’s Sea Pig really tore up the charts, our tens of thousands of fans have been eagerly awaiting our first full length LP. 2020 and 2022’s two part inter-dimensional trips 'Act 1' and 'Act 2 both drew upon corporate dystopia, carceral punishment ‘avant-funk,’ early references to snail worship, and murderous chimpanzees. This album, however, is more than just an LP. It is journey of devotion. The worship of snails, crustaceans, jellyfish....MY SAVIOURS and a stirring tribute to my wonderful mentor Dr. Richard ‘Panti’ McGallagher and his infinite knowledge of the infestations and inhabitants of the great blue. Richard’s mystifying record collection of hard- rock, free jazz, musique concrete, doo-wop of the 1950's, the music of India and psychedelia possessed me to grasp hollow body guitars, organs, sitars and signal-chains built from germanium and get to work on this album.
