Overview
Could Be From The Time I Messed With Texas --- 2009
The Giant Eyeball magnum opus; a concept album about a road trip across the American south, specifically a 12 hour stretch across the Republic of Texas (and perhaps a few hours into New Mexico) and all that came with it. Told through the lens of classical philosophy, the beauty of the Texas twilight landscape, endless conversation, speeding from the cops, ghost sightings, and the harsh nature of first love. Recorded over the course of four years these 80+ minutes of punk, hardcore, metal, noise, kraut, etc., will take you along on that fabled road trip, stuck in philosophical and political debate, while staring out at the desert, the setting sun, and an oil rig fire in the distance. Originally intended to be released as a 2xCRr, this did not come to fruition due to a computer crash and another computer theft; in that order. 2 copies of this exist with abbreviated artwork. Whipped up for Bandcamp in July 2021
