Overview

The Stereo Years --- 2023-06-03

℗ year(s) show on wallets Universal Music Operations Limited. The compilation ℗ & © 2022 Universal Music Operations Limited. A Decca Classics release. Initial Release Errors Corrected: Disc 20, Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem Op. 45, is defective - in the last minute, the sound stutters. Defective disc is labelled 485 2530; corrected disc is labelled Debussy's La Mer, tracks 1 to 3 on disc 37, is not the 1964 recording but is the 1957 recording correctly identified as such on disc 40, tracks 1 to 3. Replacements for these two discs could be obtained by emailing info@deutschegrammophon.com not Decca) and are correct on later releases. Corrected discs can be identified by the addition of a "V2" notation on the inner rim of the reflecting side of the CD. Not corrected: The disc 56 sleeve back lists track 14, Mussorgsky's Gopak from Sorochintsy Fair (orchestrated by Lyadov), as a world-premiere stereo release. However, the recording is the mono recording. The world-premiere stereo release was released in [r30267098], added to disc 7 as track 13 (track 12 is in mono). The spine of disc 81 reads "CD 81 WAGNER/LISZT, WAGNER/KOCSIS Transcriptions from operas". It should read "CD 81 STRAVINSKY Symphony of Psalms, Les Noces, Mavra OSR". "WAGNER/LISZT, WAGNER/KOCSIS Transcriptions from operas" is disc 12 of [r22088752].
