Contains the remastered original 12-song album, 10 non-album B-sides, 10 out-takes (4 different versions and 6 entirely unreleased songs), and 14 live radio session tracks. Disc One 1-1–1-12 "Brighten The Corners". The original album was released in February, 1997 (OLE 197). 1-13 Originally released as a B-side to "Spit On A Stranger" (OLE 384-7) May, 1999, but presented here is the unedited full version, as such previously unreleased. It was recorded in 1996 and was also originally planned to be the opening track of "BTC". 1-14–1-15 Both are unreleased songs. "BTC" session outtakes. 1-16–1-18 Originally released as B-sides to "Stereo" (OLE 338-2P) January, 1997. "Birds..." appears here in its previously unreleased full length vocal version. The original release was an instrumental edited version. 1-19–1-20 Originally released as B-sides to "Spit On A Stranger" (OLE 384-2) May, 1999. They are included here as both songs (as well as "And Then") were recorded and mixed during the "BTC" sessions in 1996. Disc Two 2-1–2-4 Originally released as B-sides to "Shady Lane" (OLE 266-2) June, 1997. 2-5–2-8 Recorded for Radio 1's Evening Session at BBC's Maida Vale Studios. First Transmission Date: January 15, 1997. Used by permission. ℗ 2008 BBC. "The Killing Moon" appeared on the compilation album "What's Up Matador" (OLE 163-2) August 1997. It later also appeared on "Major Leagues" (OLE 398-2) October, 1999. 2-9 Previously unreleased intro. "BTC" session outtake. 2-10 Previously unreleased song. "BTC" session outtake. 2-11–2-12 Previously unreleased mixes of "BTC" session songs, featuring different vocals and overdubs. 2-13 Originally appeared on the "God Save The Clean - A Tribute To The Clean" album, Flying Nun Records (FNCD409), 1997. 2-14 Originally appeared on the compilation album "Tibetan Freedom Concert", Grand Royal/Capitol (59110), 1997. 2-15–2-18 Recorded live at KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic program February 25, 1997. Tracks 15 and 16 are previously unreleased songs. 2-19–2-22 Recorded for Radio 1's John Peel Show at BBC's Maida Vale Studio 4. First Transmission Date: August 21, 1997. Used by permission. ℗ 2008 BBC. "The Classical" appeared on "Major Leagues" (OLE 398-2) October, 1999. 2-23–2-24 Both are unreleased songs recorded live at WFNX, Boston, February 12, 1997. Remastered from the original tapes and sources at Sterling Sound. All the original album tracks as well as B-sides and studio outtakes were recorded in the Piedmont Triad July 15-30, 1996. The album was mixed at Water Music September 10-20, 1996.
