Note: Track A2 (Ricercare In 6 Parts From "A Musical Offering") on this record is not available on the mono pressing. The Musicalisches Opfer is a collection of compositions linked by the same theme (BWV 1079) by Johann Sebastian Bach, consisting of two ricercari, a trio sonata and ten canons. The work was published in 1747 and dedicated to Frederick the Great, King of Prussia.
