The Pourin' Rain EP (And Then Some)
Overview
The Pourin' Rain EP (And Then Some) --- 2022-01-21
The three or four songs on The Pourin' Rain EP were written between 2019 and 2021 and recorded over several months near the end of '21. Does the medley count as 2 songs? I'm really not sure. I don't think so. Anyway, it's the third track here. The two parts of that were written in different places and times - both while working jobs, one for a very rich man and one for another, much poorer. The second track was relatively a stream of consciousness moment, written early one morning following a family tragedy. If you listen to just one of these songs, let me suggest this one. The first song on this release is maybe the most simple and clear, it showed up to offer some relief at the end of a difficult day. I'm grateful I had that home to return to then and now as I write this. I don't know that more about them from me would be of much use, but if you're reading this I'm grateful for that and for you listening and joining on my path. credits released January 21, 2022 The Trumpet Vines are Sarah Reid - Fiddle Don Eisenberg - Drums Blaze McKenzie - Electric Guitar, Mandolin, Keys Atlee Hickerson - Bass Lenora LaVictoire - Vocals Blaze McKenzie also Engineered, Mixed, and Co-Produced this recording which took place in his studio during the last few months of 2021.
