Collection of tracks recorded between 1968 and 1978. (P) 2010 Sanctuary Records Limited (C) 2010 Sanctuary Records Limited, a Universal Music Company. Made in the EU. Trojan Records is label of Sanctuary Records Group LTD. Tracks 1-8 and 2-14 list no producer but mentions it is "A Mercury Production". Track 2-8 lists no producer but mentions it is "A Starraple Production". From liner notes: Track 1-1 is a version of The Dixie Cup's 'Chapel of love' (Jamaican mix). Track 1-3 is a cover of The Quin-Tones' Doo Wop classic, 'Down the aisle of love' (including here is the 1974 version). Track 1-4 is a rendering of the Teen Queens' R&B oldie 'Eddie my love'. Track 1-7 is cut of Cilla Black's 'Surround yourself with sorrow'. Track 1-10 is a version of Gladys Knigh's Motown classic, 'Everybody needs love'. Track 1-20 is a cover of the Dusty Springfield/Baby Washington hit 'Breakfast in bed'. Track 2-3 is an interpretation of the Marvin Gaye & Marry Wells oldie, 'Once upon a time'. Track 2-4 is a version of Syreeta's 'Happiness'. Track 2-8 is a version of the Margie Jospeh's 'Words (are impossible)'. Track 2-9 is a version of Albert Morris' romantic ballad 'Feelings' cut at Black Ark in 1977. Track 2-11 is an interpretation of Mel & Tim's 'It hurts to want it so bad'. Track 2-13 is an interpretation of Doris Day's Pop standard 'Que sera sera (whatever will be, will be)'. Track 2-15 is a version of Lionel Bart's 'Just as long as he needs me'.
