Another Fading Souvenir

Overview

Another Fading Souvenir --- 2022-06-24

John Mills-Cockell has pushed creative boundaries for over five decades. After co-founding the psychedelic multimedia collective Intersystems in the late 1960s, he would go on to become one third of acclaimed orchestral pop trio Syrinx (possibly best known for their song “Tillicum” used as the theme for the CBC television series Here Come The Seventies). When he purchased a synthesizer from Robert Moog, Mills-Cockell became the first Canadian musician to own a Moog, using this cutting-edge technology to conjure strange new worlds. Much of this music has been celebrated in a recent series of retrospective reissues.
