This recording was made on a three channel stereophonic ampex tape recorder, model 300-3 With modified ampex model 350 electronics. Telefunken, RCA and electro-voice microphones where are used to achieve maximum presents and clarity. The original three channel master was recorded on a two channel stereophonic Ampex 300–2 with specially designed electronics at which time equalization was added, in order to make prominent certain of the original elements which had been deliberately under-recorded because of their extreme dynamic range.
