Song of the Road was first transmitted on the BBC Home Service 5th of November 1959. This issue was published by the BBC Transcription Service for public performance by BBC radio stations. Differing from the commercial CD release, this is an abridged version with a duration of only 29:30. Unlike the commercial CD, it has no track listings or track names. I have been unable to locate any information on The Thousand-Horse Town, other than what is shown on the LP itself.
