The Ditch

Overview

The Ditch --- 2022-02-22

“The Ditch” is a music film by Jesse Hunt, Trevor Henthorn and Mike Hawk. It was built from an audio and video collaboration between Jesse Hunt (Cyanotic & Conformco), Trevor Henthorn (SWEAT ENGINE, Medical Grade & AMF) and videographer Mike Hawk. It combines Jesse’s raw industrial and metallic percussion with Trevor’s drums and machines and Mike’s video and mix aesthetic. For “The Ditch”, Audio and video recordings were captured in 2 urban ditches : Ditch-A, an hour outside of Chicago and follow-up with Ditch-B in San Diego. Ditch-A is a culvert that passes under a 2-lane road, joining drainage ditches. It is a rectangular concrete tunnel with opening that is approximately 12-feet by 12-feet by 60-feet long. Ditch-B is a 2-track railroad passing under a 4-lane concrete bridge. The space is a cube with open sides. It is a square tunnel with large opening that is approximately 60-feet by 60-feet by 60-feet long. Ditch-B includes 4 concrete pillars on each side of the railroad tracks.
