Overview
The Stephen Sondheim Album --- 2001-02-06
This is the first "official" CD produced and released by Fynsworth Alley which was produced in cooperation with Varese Sarabande Records as well as they being the distributor. This CD does not contain the "bonus track" that was included in the "Special Edition" version performed by Emily Skinner. Why it was not included here there is no real explanation. The artwork and credits are completely identical to that of the "Special Edition" release which includes the hidden track contained on that release as Track 16 which is track 15 on this release is followed by a silence and a hidden track which consists of chatter about a nightmare by Bruce Kimmel and his engineer Vincent Cirilli about the Maguire Sisters performing a version of "Getting Married Today" followed by the song sung in that style by Eydie Alyson, Juliana Hansen, &Tami Tappan. Despite the fact that the Varese Sarabande logo is not present on this release, all future Fynsworth Alley releases do have the logo representing them as manufacturer and producer. Liner Notes & Special Thanks by Bruce Kimmel Track Analysis By Alvin Klein of The New York Times, Writer for the Arts section All credits are contained inside the booklet and artwork. 2000 Fynsworth Alley, LLC.
