Music From Trooping The Colour, 1992 And Beating Retreat, 1992
Overview
Music From Trooping The Colour, 1992 And Beating Retreat, 1992 --- undefined
Recorded in the Military Chapel, Chelsea Barracks, London, by permission of Major General R.J.S. Corbett CB, Major General commanding the Household Division. Note credit as composer on track 12, credited on the release only as "W.Ross", has been identified as Pipe Major Willie Ross rather than William Ross (5) as the piece in question, "Queen Elizabeth's March", would have been composed following the accession to the throne of Queen Elizabeth II in 1952, and Pipe Major Willie Ross died in 1966, whilst William Ross (5), sometimes known (confusingly) as 'Pipe Major W. Ross'. died in 1891. The typo in the Index track preceding track 17, "Massed Bands Of the Househgold Cavalry", is an accurate reflection of a typographical error on the insert card. Equally, the index omits any mention of track 23.
