Disk-O-Tek Holiday --- 2004

Original theatrical exhibition June 1, 1966. Special Features: Original Theatrical Trailer/Two shorts: "Twist Craze" and "Dance Craze"/A movie clip featuring The Hormel Girls. "Disk-O-Tek Holiday" is a 1966 American re-edit of Douglas Hickox's 1964 British movie "Just for You" (see [r7528902]). The British movie is really just 21 music videos introduced by a VJ (Sam Costa) who does a bit of banter involving the electronic device he's using to show the music videos. American director Vince Scarza deleted five of the British music videos (by Al Saxon, Doug Sheldon, Mark Wynter, Faye Craig and the Warriors) and replaced them with American ones (The Vagrants, The Chiffons, Casey Paxton, the Rockin' Ramrods and Freddy Cannon). He also replaced the British VJ with three American ones (Bob Foster, Hy Lit and Arnie Ginsburg) and a couple of skits whereby Casey Paxton tries to get the VJs to play his new record. Otherwise, the movies are identical; there are no changes to the other 16 music videos, which make up the bulk of the movie.
