Released on Bandcamp for 48 hours. From 'The Anchoress' Facebook page: "Magazine" was a demo track recorded back in the day when I was still being danced around by major labels and all their ridiculous demands of female artists. This was a bit of a retort to what I was increasingly beginning to realise was a ridiculous world that I wanted no part in. I started writing the song on the most out of context instrument I could think of for a pop track - a stylophone - and Liam Howe and I finished off a demo in a day. Weird fact fans - the demo was mixed by Andy Wright who I would later to go on to work with extensively when I joined Simple Minds in 2014.
