Tracks 4-1 to 4-9: Recorded in New York on October 29, 1954. Tracks 5-1 to 5-4: Recorded in NYC, May 24, 1954. Tracks 5-5 to 5-7: Recorded in NYC, June 3, 1954. Tracks 5-8 to 5-11: Recorded on December 19, 1957 in New York City. Tracks 6-1 to 6-6: Recorded at the Newport Jazz Festival, Newport, R.I., July 6, 1957. Tracks 7-1 to 7-10: Recorded May 18 and 19 and June 6, 1956. Tracks 7-11 to 7-16: Recorded May 18 and 22, 1961 at Van Gelder Recording Studio, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Tracks 8-1 to 8-4: Recorded in Los Angeles, October 16, 1956. Tracks 8-5 to 8-8: Recorded in concert at The Museum Of Modern Art, New York City, February 9, 1961. Tracks 9-1 to 9-5: Recorded at Carnegie Hall, NY, March 4, 1961. Tracks 9-6 to 9-10: Recorded November 14-16, 1960 in New York. Tracks 10-1 to 10-20 Recorded May 18 + 19 and June 6, 1956 in New York. Although for tracks 1-13 to 1-20 the heading mentions 'Pleyel Jazz Concert Vol. I And Vol. II,' this is a recording of the 1948 concert only. The heading for tracks 10-11 to 10-22 is actually misspelled. It should be 'Birks' Works', not 'Birk's Works'. Made in the EU.
