Eyes in Orbits --- 2020-11-06

Eyes in Orbits is a 49 minute drone piece by Julius Gabriel. It is built out of two continuously held notes, that originate from saxophones and are persistently manipulated with octave effects, oscillators, distortions and delays. The saxophones are amplified at high volume through a wall of guitar amplifiers creating an immersive sound. The performance is based on the extensive use of circular breathing leading into a biofeedback loop that welcomes cosmic moments and psychedelic visions.
