The Eagle Has Landed --- 1998-07-20

Double LP compilation is packaged in a folded United States Geological Survey map, each one different. The album title and label information are included on stickers affixed to the poly bag. Each side is labeled with a different phase of the moon, and a set of inserts matching the phases detail credits for a given side. A small insert reads "moons 3 + 4 got reversed on the insert". Track A1 recorded June 1997 in Yellow. Track A4 recorded at Tribal Recordings in San Antonio. Track B1 recorded at WGNS Studios in Washington DC. Track B2 recorded on 8 tracks Feb 20 to 22 at The Boathouse. Track B3 recorded in Ryan's bedroom in San Antonio in the summer of '97. Track B4 recorded at Data Music Services, May 20th, 1995, and remixed at Audible Images Recording on January 5th, 1998. Track C1 recorded at Inner Ear. Track C3 recorded and mixed at Tapeworm Studio, Miami, FL. Track C4 recorded at WGNS during [m=311301] sessions. Track D4 recorded on Nov 12, 1997 in Denver, CO. This information was not included in the inserts: Track C2 recorded on July 8-9, 1996, at Studio For Experimental And Electronic Music in Lubbock, TX, by Brooks Harlan. Lineup: Adam Amparan, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Omar Rodríguez-López. Ryan Sawyer, Jim Ward. About 100 "early release" copies were sold on tour and instead of an insert had a letter & pre-paid postcard (see images). Between tracks A2 and A3 there is a 20-second long uncredited clip/sample of "Red" from [M=558591].
