Overview

Narcissus / Hearts And Flowers --- 1918

Multiple recordings of both selections were issued on Victor 16029 between 1908 - 1927. Early pressings (1908-1913) used Mx. B-6222-1 (recorded May 22, 1908) on Side A. Later pressings (1913 - 1922) used Mx. B-6222-5 (recorded June 17, 1913). Still later pressings (1922 - 1927) used either Mx. B-6222-7 or -9 (recorded July 22, 1913). Take numbers are identified by the embossed number in the runout at the 9 o'clock position next to the label. The rendition on this release could be Mx. B-6222-5, -7 or -9. Side B (Mx. B-2328-2) was recorded September 10, 1908, Camden, NJ, and appears on releases between 1908 - 1915. It was replaced in 1915 by Mx. B-2328-7, which was recorded November 9, 1915, Camden, NJ. That is likely to be the rendition on this release. Originally released in November, 1908 on Victor "Patents" label. This release, on Victor "Batwing" label listing four patents but without price on label, dates to ca. Spring 1918 - Fall 1923.
