Overview
Brandy --- 1991
Insert only credits Scott English and Richard Kerr. For songs that were co-written by an artist other than Richard Kerr, the insert only credits Scott English. Insert contains multiple typos and reads: "Scott English's only major hit in Australia was Brandy in 1972. Released on Interfusion (original Catalogue No. ITFK-4417 Festival) and produced by Dave Bloxham. It entered the charts on February 6, 1972 at No.38, reached No.3 and stayed on the Australian charts for 14 weeks. Scott English, a U.S. male vocalist, also reached No.12 on the British charts 4 months earlier with Brandy. While in America, Brandy only reached No.90. On Brandy, backing vocals are by our own Vanda and Young (of the Easybeats fame). It's interesting to note Barry Manilow renamed Scott English's Brand and broke into the charts in 1975 with the single Mandy which achieved No.11 status in the U.K. and No.1 in the U.S. Scott failed to achieve any further chart entries. Thanks to The Book (Top Forty Research) for chart information."
