John [Building as Foreign] (Demo) We made full band demos of almost all the songs on Tiny Rewards in advance of going in to the studio, something we’d never done previously. We recorded a few of these at Watercolour Studios in 2014. Several of the songs had daft names before they had lyrics; this was one of the last to be given its proper title. 2. Subbuteo featuring the RSNO (Live) Featuring the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, this recording is taken from the band’s Spree Festival show at Paisley Abbey in October 2013. 3. Torrent Rain This song was originally made for the ‘For Folk’s Sake’ Bandcamp Christmas Album back in 2012. Nothing says Christmas like a rainy Glasgow love song. 4. Eeeeeee [Easy as Breathing] (Demo) Another song recorded at Watercolour Studios in 2014. As well as finalising song titles late in the day, many of the lyrics to the songs on TR were written after the tracks were built. There are some interesting quirks in this demo including incomplete lyrics (none in the chorus!) and Dylan-esque use of the Acme siren in the breakdown. 5. Old Balloons (Live) Recorded live at the Barrowland Ballroom, Glasgow when the band opened for Frightened Rabbit in 2010.
